Hello fellow friends,

As you all know fall started last week, and now it’s the football season. So in gym we’re also starting our own Mill Pond football season. Today we started to learn the basics of football like how to throw and catch a football, and now we are starting to understand the game a little more.

In social studies we are learning about the numbers on a map. We are using latitude and longitude to help us find different landmarks. We did another scavenger hunt and had to figure out what landmark it was. We also watched a video on Brainpop about the numbers on a map and the Prime meridian and equator.

So far in science we are learning about food webs and food chains.( Which you should know about if you read last week's blog.) But now Mrs.Pittorino is introducing us to something a little bit different. I’m talking about something slimy and not just one but 600 worms! You might ask yourself, ‘What are they doing with all these worms?” Mrs. Pittorino said that we are going to be experimenting with them and seeing how they will react to different changes. We can’t wait!!!!!!!!!

This week Andy got the spinny chair and needed to write a   newspaper about himself. Wednesday was Yeal’s day to share. She shared a bowling pin that she got from her birthday party a few years ago. Wednesday was also picture day. We think all of our pictures will turn out great!!! Friday was a half day and we hosted the team meeting.

In E.L.A we are working on the Ipads a lot. We are learning about how to write a summary. On Tuesday we got split into groups and had to read a fiction story written by Kevin Henkes. When we finished reading we had to write a summary about the book on our Ipads. Now we are working on reading and writing about an Olimpic Time For Kids magazine.
Well, Asta La Vista For Now Baby!!!!

                                                          Sincerely,
Megan and Sydney
