Aloha parents,

The start of the week we did not have school due to a snow storm. In math we learned about subtracting and adding mixed fractions. We also had a test on Friday Which we think everyone did great.

In Social Studies we watched a video about the thirteen original colonies. In Science we measured the mass and volume of salt and water mixtures.

In ELA this week we have been working on our disasters projects. We are in different groups. The different disasters we are doing is the Halifax Explosion, 9/11, the Great Molasses Flood, the Great Chicago Fire, Hurricane Katrina, the Exxon Valdez, the Titanic, and Flesh and Blood Come So Cheap. This week we have been working on our rough drafts. After vacation, we will be working on editing and revising and then typing up our final copies, then we will be doing green screens, and making a book on book creator. We have working with our groups to get the research, but the rest of the project we are doing by ourselves. Happy weekend, and happy February Vacation.

                                                                                       Sincerely,
                                                              Your bloggers Michael,
                                                                      and Marin
